Southern American indeginous tribes refer to the word Icaro for what they call “Magic Song”. Today this term is used to describe medicine songs performed by shamans to induce a state of healing, awareness or amazement.

The word Icaro is derived from the Quechuan verb ikaray meaning “to blow smoke in order to heal”.

I see the parallels between nature giving benefits to our health and well-being as well as natural environments that need our help to heal.
